科尔（布鲁斯·格林伍德 Bruce Greenwood 饰）是一位野生动物专家，目前，他正在负责制作和解说一档有关于亚马逊热带丛林的纪录片。然而，就在此过程中，他竟然神秘失踪，从此了无音信，留下妻儿孤苦伶仃度日。
